Events on solar energy will take place from April 28 to May 6 in hundreds of cities and towns across Germany. The institute at the University of Bremen serves the purpose of research and consulting in the field of energy economics and energy policy. It focuses on problems of the enforcement of rational energy deployment and use, including combined heat and power generation and the deployment of renewable energy as well as technologies for their use. The institute is interdisciplinary (Architecture, Engineering Sciences, Physics, Economics) and carries out studies and surveys concerning national, regional and local energy policy as well as providing concepts for innovative planning of energy facilities mainly for enterprises and institutions.
